WHERE WE’VE BEEN
Founded by Monica R. Butler of the Butler Group, Film Camp USA is a state-wide youth program that provides children from Missouri the opportunity to become a master of their own stories while obtaining transferable skills through acting, storytelling, virtual and augmented reality in an effort for the children to make movies and memories. It inspires young filmmakers to build meaningful connections with their peers, develop practical skills through STEAM, and exercise creativity while learning film industry practices to produce content they can confidently showcase.

Students with interests in filmmaking and the media industry will learn skills and trades from professionals. By the time our students finish the program, they will have the confidence, skills, and connections necessary to grow in the film industry.

WHERE WE’RE GOING
This year, Film Camp USA is presented in partnership with The Butler Group and Life Creative Group, and will host a 4 week life-changing creative experience for youth ages 13 to 18. Students will first explore critical areas of media, film, and content production and then utilize those skills to create one-minute short films based on this year's theme, Born to Fly. Additionally, campers will engage with top industry professionals from companies like Hulu and Netflix to learn first-hand the inner workings of media and entertainment.
